Meet Our Educators

Fredy and Magaly are a couple, married with four children, who have dedicated their lives to working with children. In 2014, they founded Little Children Day Homes, a day home agency offering exceptional care and early education for children aged 0 to 12 years old.

Magaly, a Licensed Preschool Educator, brings her deep passion for early childhood development into every aspect of their care. She believes the early years of a child’s life are crucial in shaping their emotional, cognitive, and social growth. Through Little Children Day Homes, she creates a safe, loving, and stimulating environment where children are encouraged to explore, learn, and develop essential life skills.

Fredy, with his professional background in Administration, manages the day-to-day operations of the agency, ensuring that the highest standards of care are consistently provided. Together, they are committed to creating a nurturing space where children can grow with love, respect, and faith, surrounded by the guidance and support they need to thrive.

Their mission is not only to provide quality childcare, but to lay a strong foundation for each child’s future success—whether in school or in life—by focusing on emotional well-being, social skills, and spiritual growth.

Little Children Day Homes was founded with a passion for early childhood education and a belief in the importance of creating a loving and supportive environment for young learners. Our team of experienced educators is dedicated to infant care, toddler programs, and preschool curricula. We strive to create a warm and inviting atmosphere where children can thrive and reach their full potential. Trust us to provide the best care and education for your little ones.

My name is Dyhia, and I’m an experienced early childhood educator with a Master’s degree in Linguistic Geography from Algeria. I began my career working with young children in Algeria for three years before moving to Canada in 2020 with my husband. Since then, I’ve also become a proud mother of twin boys who inspire me every day.

When I arrived in Canada, I focused on learning English through ESL courses to continue my work in early childhood education. In September 2024, I opened my licensed day home with Little Children Day Homes, allowing me to return to my passion while staying close to my own children during their early years.

My child care philosophy is rooted in love, creativity, respect, and play-based learning. I strive to create a warm, safe, and inclusive environment where each child feels valued and supported in their growth. I love using art, storytelling, music, and nature to spark curiosity and help children build confidence, independence, and social-emotional skills.

Running my day home is more than a job — it’s a meaningful way for me to contribute to my community, support other families, and help children develop a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

My name is Aline Nascimento da Cruz Fonseca, and I’m originally from Brazil. I’ve been living in Canada for the past seven years, and I’m a proud wife and mother to a beautiful daughter — a role that has changed my life in the most meaningful way.

For the past two years, I’ve been working as an early childhood educator, a profession that truly fulfills me. I believe that education is one of the most powerful ways to shape a child’s future, and I am passionate about creating a safe, loving, and engaging environment where children feel seen, valued, and supported.

Becoming a mother has made me more resilient, patient, and inspired to grow — not just for my own child, but for every child in my care. I strive to support children’s development through kindness, encouragement, and meaningful learning experiences that spark curiosity and confidence.

Outside of my work, I love spending time in nature, especially exploring the mountains in Banff and Canmore. I also enjoy family time, traveling, and sharing good food and laughter with friends.

I’m so grateful to be part of your child’s early learning journey and look forward to building a strong, trusting relationship with both you and your little one.

My name is Elizabeth Musa, and I’m a proud mother of four daughters, a devoted wife, and a passionate early childhood educator. Growing up in a large family, I developed a strong love for caring for children early on — a calling that has stayed with me throughout my life.

I hold a diploma in Social Work and am currently completing my Level 3 in Early Childhood Education. For over a year, I’ve been working with Little Children Day Homes, where I provide a warm, balanced, and engaging environment for young children to learn, grow, and thrive.

What I love most about working with children is their energy, imagination, and honesty — there's never a dull moment! I focus on blending play with learning, helping children understand structure while celebrating creativity. I believe that every child brings their own unique culture, voice, and values to our shared space.

My Christian faith teaches me the importance of love, kindness, and respect — values I bring into my practice every day. I also deeply respect and welcome families from all cultural and spiritual backgrounds. To me, strong communication between families, educators, and children is essential to helping little ones flourish not just academically, but emotionally, socially, and spiritually.

My name is Razia. I was born and raised in Pakistan and moved to Canada in 2016. My love for working with children began early on, when I started teaching in my home country. After coming to Canada, I continued working with children in a daycare setting and eventually opened my own licensed day home.

I am also a proud mother of four beautiful children. For the past four years, I have been running my licensed day home with Little Children Day Homes. Working with the agency has given me access to ongoing support, professional development, and regular monitoring — all of which help ensure a safe, nurturing, and high-quality environment for the children in my care.

With their guidance, I’ve been able to focus on creating a warm, play-based learning experience that supports every child’s growth and development.

I believe that every child is unique and learns at their own pace. My goal is to create a safe, loving, and respectful environment where children feel valued, encouraged, and free to explore, learn, and grow.

Hello! My name is Ravita. I’m originally from India and have been living in Canada since 2016. I’m a proud wife and mother of two amazing boys, ages 16 and 11. I’ve always had a deep passion for working with children, and since 2020, I’ve been proudly working in the field of Early Learning and Childcare.

I hold a Master’s degree in Science, a Bachelor of Education, and a Bachelor’s in Science from India, along with over 10 years of teaching experience. I currently hold a Level 2 certification from Alberta and am working toward my Early Learning and Childcare Diploma.

Over the past few years, I’ve completed the Brain Story Certification, the full FLIGHT Early Learning Curriculum Series, and participated in various professional development opportunities through Alberta Health Services, AECEA, ARCQE, and the Canadian Child Care Federation. Topics I’ve explored include children’s nutrition, loose parts play, cultural connections, and the environment as the third teacher.

In my day home, I focus on building a safe, inclusive, and engaging space where children feel valued and supported. I believe in the importance of strong relationships with families, respecting each child’s unique background, and helping them reach their developmental milestones through play-based learning.

Outside of work, I enjoy music, dancing, reading, and traveling — all of which inspire creativity and connection in my daily practice. Being an educator is not just my job, it’s my passion. I feel grateful every day to support children's growth and to serve my community through my work.

My name is Lizeth Vera, and I’m a proud wife and mother of two wonderful children, ages 4 and 8. I was born and raised in Colombia, where I worked as a kindergarten teacher — a profession that has always been my true calling.

I moved to Canada nine years ago to join my husband and start a new chapter in life. At first, I was unsure if I could continue working with children, as I didn’t speak English well and was unfamiliar with the requirements here. Thankfully, I was introduced to a project that opened the door for me to follow my passion again.

In 2019, I opened my licensed day home through Little Children Day Homes. Although I was nervous at first due to the language barrier, running my day home has helped me grow both personally and professionally. I’ve improved my English, found a meaningful and stable career, and most importantly, continued doing what I love — caring for and supporting the growth of young children.

What brings me joy is seeing children grow, learn, and eventually move on to school with confidence. It’s incredibly rewarding to know that my work plays a role in their development and is appreciated by their families. I believe this job requires dedication, patience, and above all, love — and I feel very grateful every day to be part of so many families' lives.
